[GIS, Weather] In case you missed this story, like I did, ENN (Enivronmental News Network) reported in July that Japan is setting up a supercomputer to model 30-year weather forecasts. This is apparently part of a side project to study the effects of global warming for the next 300 years. Wow. [via ENN]

Dell’s DJ Ditty MP3 Player Disappears

[Audio, MP3] Apparently Dell’s DJ Ditty MP3 device has pulled a disappearing act on the company website, with all references to it disappearing. A company spokeswoman said that Dell will still be selling other brands of MP3 players. [via PC Mag]

India Over-Outsourced?

India is so short of skilled workers in their IT industry that giant companies like Infosys are looking for willing trainees anywhere in the world. The company will be putting trainees through an intensive 16-week program, graduating as many as 40,000 Indian and foreign students per year. [via IndustryWeek]
