UK Nanotechnology Gets Funding
The British government is providing a grant of nearly GBP 18M for micro and nanotechnology projects, which would in turn likely help the firms involved to get a foot hold in the world market for nanotech. This only an intial allotment, with a total of GBP 90M earmarked for projects over five years. In the US, the NSF (National Science Foundation) has plans to spend US$28M on related educational programs. The world nanotech market is expected to reach US$29B by 2008.
