Yahoo Time Capsule Project

Yahoo has taken steps to preserve our history by promoting a newly launched project called the Time Capsule Project . Till Nov 8th, every Yahoo user can contribute photos, writings, videos, audio etc to this electronic anthropology project. The main idea of this project is to collect and preserve digital data for the future generations to look at.

It will be similar to the blog style where the users can look at other’s contributions, and comment on it. On Nov 8th, this entire digital collection will be sealed and sent to Smithsonian Folkways Recordings based in Washington D.C. who will officially preserve the contents.
