What Is Scrybe?

A couple of bloggers have already covered Scrybe, an online organizer and productivity suite, and I’m dying to try it out. The limited beta is supposed to be launching this month, so maybe it’ll be out any day now. What is Scrybe? Only the coolest looking productivty suite out there, with both an online mode (browser) and an offline component.

The video is unbelievable. The application is fully of Rich GUI goodness brought to you by Ajax. You can view your personal planner in different modes (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) yet still have a sense of surrounding time periods. It auto scales a view for you, and when your mouse or cursor leaves, the app rescales your view.

There’s an editor that appears to rival any of the online word processors that have come out lately including ZohoWriter and Writely (now called Google Documents), as it has multi-column auto-formatting and more. You can also format your planner into a number of views for printing. What you get out of it is pretty much equal to any paper-based daily planner out there. (You know how much those darn things cost.)

What are you waiting for? Go watch the video (any of the above links), then register your email address to be notified for the beta. I think this will be one of those online apps that will be worth it even if it costs money.
