IMified: Turning Cell Phones Into PDAs

Have a cell phone and wish you had a PDA? Lifehack has a tutorial on how to add some PDA capabilities to your plain old SMS-enabled cell phone using a free service called IMified.

Among the functions you can add are to-do lists, drafting documents, sending reminders, calendaring, accessing blog platforms. The service will work with AOL’s AIM, Yahoo Messenger, and Google Talk/ Jabber. MSN/ Windows Live is offline at the time of this writing. In fact, Microsoft/ MSN said no to IMified because IMified’s screen name will not appear online to more than 1,000 users simultaneously. (Seriously, you’d think a company with their resources could resolve something like this in a week’s time, but they couldn’t.)
