Apple iTV is Delayed

The Apple iTV wireless video streaming settop box has been delayed until mid-March. Like most Apple products, it’s fairly expensive (US$299), but it’s one product I intend to get. With it, you can stream IPTV (Internet TV) and other video content wirelessly from your computer to your TV set. Sounds pretty simple, functionally speaking, and the design is very sleek and minimalist - like many Apple products. So even at $299, they’re likely to sell a lot of units. Being ahead of the IPTV curve, too, doesn’t hurt.

Of course, now I’ll need a TV set with more than 13″ of screen. (My computer screen’s 19″, and I watch TV on it, using a Hauppage external TV box, with cable fed in to it.) Then again, I could save that $299 and put it towards the cost of a large flat panel computer monitor, say 32″. Now has Apple considered that? Is the iTV a must-have product?
