Searching Through Search Engines to Find the Answer

Finding the perfect answer is not always easy online. Many of the traditional search engines, like Google and Yahoo often give you lots of pages that really have nothing to do with what the subject. Ask.com was always my choice, but it’s recently changed its format and I haven’t been able to figure it out.

I’m still not gadget friendly enough to use cell phone technology for anything but phone calls, so innovative tools (like 4Info) aren’t even an option.

I’ve used a few of the human search engines. These are the sites that let you tell a live person what information you need and they will search the internet for the right information. I have used Cha-Cha once or twice, but it’s easier for me to just send an instant message to my friend and let her do it.

I recently read an article about a new human search engine that is suppose to be the perfect answer to finding just what you need without all the extra pages of junk. It’s still in the Alpha stage (which means it’s up but not ready for full use), but I will have to stop by soon to see if it’s worth all the fuss.
