Web 2.0 for Better or for Worse

Web 2.0 is all about harnessing the collective intelligence. It is a concept, first popularized by Tim O’Reilly of O’Reilly Media, that it applied to software and applications that make it easier to collaborate over the internet.

The concept is great, in theory. There are just some times when the social conscious is not the best direction. Web 2.0 is great for observations, but not much deep analysis.

This all goes back to the great debate about Web 2.0 - is the information available on this application reliable.

It seems that no matter the out come of the debate, Web 2.0 is here to stay. The applications are spanning from travel to finance and every where in between. Like anything, the best way to make sure the information is safe is to back up your references from several sources.
