Anyone who tells you that blogging is easy work and easy money is either an out and out liar trying to sell you software, or simply doesn't know what they're talking about. Blogging is hard work, if you intend to be successful at it - whether you define this in terms of visitor traffic or ad/affiliate revenue. It takes writing/ finding fresh content and publishing it, most preferably on a daily basis, or even several times a day.
The more often you post fresh content, the more often SEs (Search Engines) and blog directories will index your blog content. This means your blog pages will rank higher in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), and eventually generate more traffic for you - which is, or should be, one of the goals of every blogger.
Whether you are writing in a tight topic niche or a loose one, posting regular content is crucial for growth to your blog readership. However, simply using software that generates "100s" or "1000s" of pages in a single day by "scraping" other websites and blogs will not do. The SEs have algorithms that check for such things, and blogs that "spam" their content (often called splogs) are usally blacklisted, sometimes permanently.
Instead of cheating, focus on writing (or purchasing) good, relevant content. Often, the most popular blogs are simply those that summarize articles and entries from other websites and blogs, respectively. Add your own spin to each summary, and you are then offering something valuable to your readers. You can supplement such summaries with the occasional article of your own, or buy short articles from one or more writers.
If you cannot yourself write or supply the volume of content that is necessary for the success of a blog, there are sources of free and paid content, including Chameleon Integration. [Check this space for updates.]
If you do use content that other writers and publishers are offering for free, make sure you use content relevant to your business. As well, offer a blend of content hand-picked from more than one source. That is, make your blog offering as unique as possible.
