| Free Articles and Blog Content |
|
If you are a new publisher on the Internet, you've probably found out how difficult it is to supply your website or blog visitors with fresh article content. And fresh, well-written, content is necessary to keep your site high in the search engine rankings. Of course, to gain more site visitors, you need to be high in the rankings. Not a writer yourself, or just can't keep up with the quantity of articles or blog posts you need? What to do?
There are a number of sources of free content on the Internet, of which Chameleon Integration is one. We'll even provide instructions on how you can go about using our content. (Instructions coming soon.)
Almost all of the content (articles, blog entries) on websites and blogs run by myself, or Chameleon Integration in general, are under what is known as a "Creative Commons" license. Such licenses are the textual equivalent of Open Source software.
The general rule of thumb with Creative Commons is that you can republish such content, under certain simple guidelines. Here are our guidelines. (They are verbose, but easy to follow):
- If you are republishing any of our content, under the rules indicated below, you may only do so on a website or blog. You may NOT republish in printed form (paper), nor in an e-newsletter without our explicit permission. You may NOT collect our content into an e-book or some sort of zip file. Similarly, you may NOT use our content to spam people's emailboxes. Thus, all details below refer to republishing on a website or blogsite. Basically, be nice. We're being generous, we hope you will be, too.
- Feel free to republish, either in full or in part, any of our blog content, unless specifically marked as not being under a Creative Commons license. (For the time being, all Chameleon blogs except Tech Watch are under Creative Commons. Content on our Your Health 1st website - which is currently under construction - is also not available for republishing.) You must, however, keep the original copyright notice, author details, and associated URL/hyperlink information in the republished content.
- Some of the articles and blog entries may not be exactly what you want. You are authorized to alter or edit our content, and then republish it. In fact, we encourage this option over simply republishing our content. You must still keep our copyright notice and associated details (author name, hyperlink) in the republished version. You may, however, add an "edited by" notice below our copyright line, including your name and URL.
- You MAY charge for the republished version of our content, whether you use our original or your edited version. (Remember, keep our copyright details intact.) In fact, all power to you in this regard. We do, however, encourage you to also offer your edited versions under a Creative Commons license. If you are using our original versions, they are automatically under this license, and thus you cannot then accuse someone else of stealing the content from you.
- We strive to provide accurate content in our articles and our blogs. We take no responsibility in your use of our content. Thus, if you do use our content in its original form or in edited form, you are agreeing to this condition and therefore may not take any punitive action against us.
- If you are in doubt about something, please do check with us. (For space reasons, we use webmaster@mathgurusonline.com.)
- If you are after content that you think we may be able to provide, but that you do not see on our blogs and websites, contact us. We do offer "content provider" services and will write custom content within our areas of specialty: internet business, search engine optimization, internet programming, blog writing, food, and health.
- Chameleon Integration also partners with the award-winning advertising agency Dubs & Dash Group to provide PR (Public Relations) and marketing materials. Send us details in an email and ask us for a quote. (Payment for services can be made via Paypal, or by check/ cheque, but must partial payment must be made after our proposal and before actual work begins.)
- In the near future, we will be offering a "publishers' content subscription service" whereby, for a reasonble monthly fee - payable via Paypal - we will offer a full-feed content stream of articles and blog posts that contains fresh daily and weekly articles. There will be a limit of only 100 subscrbers, so this content will be relatively exclusive. Please check back here in the future for details.
